Stray Animals - FOUR PAWS CCR Tour 2005
FOUR PAWS uses the CCR method, which means "Catch-Castrate-Release". This is the only way to help both humans and animals. Stray animals often pass diseases among each other, but humans can also be affected. Our method controls the population of stray animals with the help of neutering them. A combination of different vaccines and the treatment against parasites helps to eliminate the breakout of diseases and epidemics.
Targeted neutering and vaccination project
Our professional teams, made up of veterinaries, dog catchers, and animal keepers are neutering and vaccinating ownerless animals.
Stray animals are caught and then transported to an animal clinic, where they are put under deep-sleep anesthesia and then neutered.
Thanks to the new surgical method used, the incisions are very small and are closed with an adhesive. After a few hours of observation, the animals can be released into their territories again having been vaccinated, wormed and medically treated for parasites.

Before they are released, they are given a nylon band for identification purposes containing a metal chip with a registration number.
