NASTIA: LITTLE PRINCESS ON ICE

Nastia’s home is blanketed in snow and the freezing temperatures have left her pond covered by a layer of ice that brightly reflects the winter sun.

Despite the freezing cold Nastia is not always in the mood to sleep or rest, she is young and playful – and there is too much to discover and learn about her enclosure. Nastia loves the snow and ice – snow boarding bear cub style is her new favourite pastime.

As she continued to familiarize herself with her surroundings and the characteristics of the icy surfaces she playfully took a run down the elevated surface near her pond. What appeared to be an accidental slip on her part turned out to be her intention – she continued her sliding game for many hours! After all that action she finally gave up and disappeared back into her den for some much deserved rest and was not seen for the rest of the day.
