Though I am quite apprehensive at first, once I get to know you I do enjoy long gentle strokes particularly along my back. It has taken me a long time to develop my meow to communicate with humans as I was so timid to begin with. Once we are familiar I will seek you out for treats, strokes and a chat. 

PS I have a best friend here, her name is Cali and she is also learning to come out of her shell. We are unafraid of dogs.
