Wills Week with FOUR PAWS: Plan Today, Impact Tomorrow

FOUR PAWS encourages South Africans to shape their legacy with care and compassion by creating lasting impact for animals during National Wills Week (15–19 September 2025)

8.9.2025

Cape Town, 08 September 2025 - Your last Will is more than a legal document; it’s a powerful way to ensure your wishes are honoured, for your loved ones and for the causes you hold dear. This September, FOUR PAWS is calling on South Africans to make their compassion last beyond their lifetime by taking part in National Wills Week from 15–19 September 2025.

During National Wills Week, participating attorneys across the country will draft Wills free of charge, saving you thousands of rands while giving you the peace of mind that your values will live on. These free Wills resources are available to South African communities, helping individuals protect their families, plan their estates, and consider the legacy they wish to leave behind.

"A Will is not just about distributing assets; it’s about safeguarding your wishes, protecting your loved ones, and ensuring your compassion extends beyond your lifetime. Including a legacy gift to causes you hold dear means that even when you’re no longer here, your kindness continues to make a meaningful impact."

Fiona Miles, Director at FOUR PAWS South Africa

To guide and inspire people in planning their estates, FOUR PAWS will host a special Facebook Live event on 10 September with legal expert, Sarah Bond, Attorney, Notary Public, and Director at Bond & Associates Attorneys. This interactive session will explore:

  • Why a valid will matters
  • Important things to consider when drafting your Will
  • How to leave a legacy gift to FOUR PAWS
  • Common myths about Wills

"Participants are encouraged to submit their questions in advance via Facebook comments or direct message, so they can be addressed live during the session. Your legacy is a reflection of your values. By planning ahead, you can create a future where your love and compassion continue to make a difference — for people, for animals, and for the planet.”
